       his presence is one of warmth & welcomed prospects ( almost as though the sun itself shines against her back ), & although his unannounced arrival brings a sort of SHOCK, kairi makes no move to distance their forms. having him this close – being able to smell the salt in his hair, feel his nose pressed against the crook of her neck, sense the lingering of his fingertips – is a RARE, yet always appreciated & desired gift. after spending so much time apart, kairi can’t help but feel slightly out of sorts in such CLOSE proximity to the boy with a sea of stars in his eyes ( sometimes she manages to get lost in his milky ways & scattered galaxies, DROWNING & losing herself within his tide ) because…

                          she’s more used to wishing her were with her
                          than actually having him by her side. 

       soon do all traces of TENSION leave her body though, as that familiar guard – the wall she’s slowly constructed, brick by brick, to protect a heart weakened by grief – dissipates. & a smile soon crests upon the ridge of her features, a gradual & slowly descending gesture as realization dawns upon her: getting lost amongst STARDUST & CONSTELLATIONS may not be so bad as long as she’s surrounded by his warmth – this warmth. 

                                                         he could be her HOME.
